Temptation Island Season 2: Who’s Still Together After the Reunion?

“I made my decision, and I really wish that, after the show, I stuck with it.”

On Temptation Island Season 2, four couples struggling to overcome relationship distress put their fidelity to the test. For a few, the journey led to romance in paradise, but for others, the experience ended with a beach bummer.

After splitting up, living separately among eligible members of the opposite sex, and attempting to withstand temptation, one of the original couples left the island together. But thanks to more than one steamy trip to the Temptation Haven, a seductive serenade, and countless conversations about past betrayals, the rest went their separate ways. And one participant even sailed off into the sunset with a fresh connection. So did that new relationship last back on the mainland? How do the islanders feel now that they’ve seen the season? And what other drama has transpired since exiting the experiment?

Keep reading to learn who’s still together (and who’s back together) after the Temptation Island Season 2 finale and reunion.

Kaylee and Summit

STATUS: STILL TOGETHER

The only original couple to make it through the experiment intact, Kaylee and Summit have since been putting in the work to make sure their newfound commitment to one another lasts. “We literally didn’t sleep after the final bonfire because we were so excited to tell each other everything we learned, experienced, and felt. We tackled any and all questions we had for each other and felt so at peace,” says Kaylee. But Summit’s sure to add, “We didn’t leave the island just talking — we left with intention.”

In the Season 2 finale, Summit showed Kaylee just how serious he was about their relationship with two symbolic gifts — a collar and a key. Though their plans to get a dog and move in together have yet to come to fruition, the sentiment behind the gesture is going strong. “Now, it’s not about if I can commit, it’s about who’s worth it. And Kaylee makes that an easy decision,” Summit shares.  While they aren’t officially cohabiting, they do spend most nights together and are looking forward to moving to California soon and adopting a wiener dog they’ll name Nugget. “We spend quality time together, travel, and support each other in every way we can. We are truly a team,” says Kaylee. “He improves my life in every way.”

According to Kaylee, talking to Mark about her insecurities was extremely difficult, but it was important to her process. “I really didn’t want the world to see me as someone who is insecure in my own skin, but at the end of the day, it was part of my journey,” she shares. The bonfire clips of Kaylee sharing that Summit hasn’t always made her feel worthy were painful for him to dig into as well. “Sitting there with Mark, there’s nowhere to hide. It forced me to check myself. You don’t get to call yourself a strong partner if you’re the reason she feels small,” he explains. “Since then, I’ve been way more aware of how I speak, how I show up, and what I reinforce.” Kaylee’s noticed that change. “Summit makes me feel like the sexiest woman on earth now. He learned a lot from his conversations with Mark. I’m forever thankful for that.” And, he, in turn, has seen a shift in Kaylee. “She knows her worth, and she moves like it,” Summit says. “She stopped asking for reassurance and started expecting respect.”

The couple credits their success in the experiment to a shared willingness to face those challenges head-on. “We didn’t try to protect an image — we let it get messy,” he says. Heading into their next chapter, they plan to continue taking life as it comes. “We’re not chasing a fairy tale, we’re building something real.”

Sydney and Mikey

STATUS: NOT TOGETHER

Sydney may have left paradise newly in love with Xzavier, but after all she’d been through with her ex, Mikey, she wondered if there were still some loose ends to that relationship. “We actually got back together,” Mikey tells Tudum. “It was good for a while.” According to Sydney, he began reaching out not long after they returned home from the experiment and insisted that what she had seen him saying in bonfire clips had been misconstrued. So, she gave their relationship another try, but eventually, according to Mikey, they both realized it still wasn’t the right fit. “We just mutually decided to say, ‘This isn't going to work.’” Sydney’s version of events is slightly different. When she came to the conclusion that they didn’t have a future, she says it took Mikey some time to get the message. “I really had to stand my ground,” she says. “I had to tell him, ‘Hey, clearly I'm not talking to you for a reason, and I need you to respect that.’”

Now, Sydney believes that Mikey was indeed interested in the other women on the island, regardless of how she says he tried to spin the bonfire clips when they got home. “At the end of the day, you were flirting with them,” she says. “I made my decision, and I really wish that, after the show, I stuck with it, but I think Mikey has ways of talking to me and getting me to see things not for what they actually are.” For his part, Mikey says he “really wanted to love Sydney correctly the second time around.” “I definitely feel like I tried to be the guy that she wanted me to be,” he explains. “But also, how could I be the guy she wants me to be if I don't even know who I am?” Now, he’s trying to figure that out by continuing the work he started on the island. “Going through that experience, you can't run from your emotions. Now, I am fully okay with feeling all the feelings that I have to,” he explains. “Since the show, I've been in therapy consistently. I'm super committed to that process and preparing my mind and my heart for anything to come in the future.”

As for what’s to come in the future for Sydney, well, it might just include Xzavier after all. Sydney says the tempter-turned-love-interest was “very understanding” when she decided she needed to give her relationship with Mikey another try. “Once I talked about what I needed to talk about with Mikey, dated, figured it out, and realized that it was still the same as before the island, I reached back out to Xavier, and I was like, ‘Hey, would you be open to grab coffee?’” She was pleasantly surprised he was, and since then, the two have been “figuring things out.” “In the future, I definitely could see us being together, but only time will tell,” she says, adding that it’s been important for her to take this slow. “I think the biggest thing I learned was to make myself the center of my life and not my relationship.”

While watching Sydney fall in love on the island was a tough pill to swallow, Mikey says he’s not harboring any ill will, even toward Xzavier. “Sydney had to do what she had to do for herself,” he says. “On the show, I felt like I was angry at [Xzavier] for no reason. He doesn't know me. I don't know him. Why am I mad at him? He did nothing to me. It’s not about him at all.” Sydney, too, hopes they can all eventually move forward. “I definitely see us being friends in the future.”

Scarlett and Cole

STATUS: BACK TOGETHER

While Cole was eager to head back to their San Diego home with Scarlett, she opted to exit Temptation Island alone. Since then, though, the two have found their way back to one another. “I knew I didn’t want to return to the same relationship we had prior to the island,” she tells Tudum. “We took some time and space after and really put work into ourselves and got clear on what we wanted. We decided that our relationship is worth the hard work and are currently together and in a really great place.”

What Scarlett realized she wants is real depth with her partner. “It sounds obvious, but when there are a lot of moving parts, some of the things that matter most get pushed to the side because you just want the relationship to work,” she shares. Cole says that having to sit in his emotions while on the island allowed him to get more comfortable going deep. “It gave me a new perspective on my relationship for sure and helped me to evolve,” he says. “It made me stronger and open up more.”

Neither Cole nor Scarlett has any regrets about their experience on the island, and that includes getting close with others. “Bradley and I had a deep friendship,” Scarlett shares. “He was someone who saw me, understood me, and supported me.” Though they’ve kept in touch here and there, Scarlett insists she never considered pursuing something more serious, in the real world or while in the experiment.

Aside from their individual transformations on Temptation Island and the break that followed, not much else has changed in the couple’s lives. They’re still living together, building their businesses, and continuing to work on their relationship. As Cole puts it, “There are always obstacles, but it comes down to whether you’re willing to face them together, grow from them, and come out stronger as a team.”

Shyanne and Jack

STATUS: NOT TOGETHER

After engaging in a fair bit of intimate one-upmanship throughout the season, Shyanne and Jack ultimately decided to both head home alone. However, during the Temptation Island Season 2 reunion, the two revealed that they spent some time on the island with their new romantic connections after the cameras went down. After finding out that Carter was staying with Jack in his hotel, Shyanne, too, opted to hang out more with Preston. “Tit for tat,” Shyanne called it, with Jack adding, “that’s the whole story” of their relationship.

When they both arrived back home, Jack drove Shyanne home from the airport, and they were finally able to speak face-to-face about the whole experience. “When I got off the flight, and we had the conversation, it was more of just like, a ‘you need to tell me everything that you did, and I’ll tell you everything that I did,’ ” Shyanne explains. And, to his credit, Jack did share everything, even moments that weren’t shown on screen. “I kissed everyone,” he revealed. With their full truths out on the table, Shyanne knew there was no moving forward as a couple, so she told Jack to get his stuff from their place and leave. After almost two months of not speaking, though, Jack reached back out. “That conversation was productive,” she explained. “We still wanted to be friends.”

At the reunion, the former couple also finally addressed Jack’s surprising revelation about Shyanne’s past cheating. Following a big argument two years into their relationship, she went out with a friend and ended up kissing another guy. When Shyanne got home, she immediately came clean, and Jack respected her honesty. They decided to stay together, but a toxic cycle began. “If I do something, he’s going to do something back,” she said. “If he does something back, I’m going to do something.” Shyanne also pointed out that they had both agreed not to rehash that particular instance of infidelity on the show, but once Jack realized he’d messed up by kissing Carter in the villa, he decided to bring it up in order to make himself look “like a better person,” which Jack didn’t deny.

Despite their shared desire to remain friends, it hasn’t been completely smooth sailing since exiting the island. Though Shyanne makes a point to regularly check in with Jack, both agree they need to focus on growing as individuals. If they’re able to evolve, who knows what could happen in the future? “If everything could go my way, I would want to be with Jack,” Shyanne said at the reunion. “I would want to try again, but right now just isn’t the time. That’s not to say that it couldn’t happen later on down the road.” As the couple with one of the season’s most dramatic showings, Jack and Shyanne certainly haven’t always seen eye to eye. But, on their biggest takeaway from Temptation Island, the two totally agree. “Don’t take anything for granted, especially your partner,” Jack said. “At some point, you have to watch how you talk about the person you love and not take them for granted,” Shyanne echoed.

Xzavier

STATUS: Single

The connection between Xzavier and Sydney is still going strong — they’re just not putting labels on it quite yet. When Sydney first expressed that she needed to take time to address her lingering issues with Mikey, Xzavier totally understood. The strong foundation of friendship that they had built on the island allowed them to honestly navigate the complicated situation once they returned home. “She was extremely clear in communication,” Xzavier shares. “She came to the conclusion that that person wasn't ideal for her, and sometime after that, we reconnected.” Now, the two are seeing if they can “organically get back to where we were,” and he’s very excited. “We have more time, more space, and more freedom to learn each other.”

In his time since being a tempter, Xzavier has relocated to Los Angeles, where Sydney will soon be visiting him. In his new city, he’s pursuing opportunities in fashion, fitness, and modeling, and he’s continuing to work on his music, which played an important role in his love story this season — who could forget that song he dedicated to Sydney? Xzavier is also currently living with his former Temptation Island villa mate, Braeden, and regularly hangs out with other friends he made through the experience. Coming onto the island, Xzavier was in search of community. Now, he says, “I actually walked away with it, so I'm happy.”
