You’re one step closer to reuniting with Laura (Alice Halsey) and the Ingalls family: Little House on the Prairie has officially wrapped production on Season 2. 

The end of Season 2’s production comes as welcome news to fans; Little House on the Prairie was renewed before Season 1 had even premiered on July 9. “I’m incredibly grateful to our wonderful cast and crew, who put their hearts and hard work into making our first season come alive,” showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine told Netflix when the series was first renewed. “We can’t wait to share this new adaptation of the Little House books with the world, and we’re thrilled that Netflix is giving us the opportunity to continue the story.” 

Both seasons are based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s enduring, almost 100-year-old book series about growing up in the American West in the 1800s. With the Ingalls family leaving Independence in the Season 1 finale, Season 2 introduces a slew of colorful characters from the novels, including Nellie Oleson, Laura’s ultimate rival, played by Willa Dunn.

• Willa Dunn (Only Murders in the Building) as Nellie Oleson. On the surface, Nellie is a world-class spoiled princess and a playground bully. Smart and supremely confident, sharp-tongued but easily wounded, she lives to make Laura miserable. But beneath her mean-girl persona is tenderness and a yearning for true friendship — even if she doesn’t know exactly how to get it. (Series Regular)
• Charlotte Sullivan (Law & Order: Organized Crime, FBI) as Margaret Oleson, mother of Nellie. Beautiful, high-energy, charming, and unfiltered, Margaret has a quick wit and gallows humor. She adores her daughter fiercely and completely but also fears losing her love. (Series Regular)
