This summer, as the world gathers to celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026, fans can play a newly reimagined FIFA soccer simulation game exclusively on Netflix.
Kicking off on June 11, FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition — developed and published by Delphi Interactive — allows Netflix members to experience the emotion and drama of the tournament in its purest and most joyful form.
The game format is fast to learn, thrilling to master, and built for anyone to jump in, whether you play solo or with friends online. All you need is Netflix and your phone.
“FIFA is very excited to team up with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino says. “This major collaboration is a key milestone in FIFA’s commitment to innovation in the football gaming space, which aspires to reach billions of football fans of all ages everywhere in the world and will be redefining the pure notion of simulation games. Our reimagined game truly marks the beginning of a new era of digital football. It will be available for free to Netflix members and is a great historic step for FIFA.”
In FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, your phone is the controller and your TV is the stadium. Scroll to the Games tab on your TV to find FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, then scan the QR code with your phone to set up your controller and jump into the action.
FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition is included in all Netflix membership plans.
“The FIFA World Cup is going to be the cultural event of 2026, and now fans will be able to celebrate their fandom by bringing the game right into their living rooms,” says Alain Tascan, President of Games at Netflix. “We want to bring football back to its roots with something everyone can play with just the touch of a button.”
Deputing in conjunction with the tournament on June 11, FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition includes all 48 teams, 1248 players, and 16 stadiums in the tournament, set across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
A limited test run of FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition begins June 4 in Brazil and Germany, with a full rollout on June 11 to the United States, Canada, the UK, France, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Sweden, and Switzerland, with more countries to come.
The Launch Edition of this new game represents the kickoff — a streamlined, high-energy version of the game focused on immediate fun. As the tournament progresses and the FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition community grows, Netflix will lay on depth, complexity, and technical refinements to updated versions.
Millions of people already watch Netflix on their TVs, and now you can play games there too. FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition joins recently released titles Jackbox and Overcooked! as part of a suite of games that Netflix members can find on their TVs, right alongside their favorite shows and movies, using their phones as a controller.
The debut of FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition follows the recent releases of Emi Martínez: The Kid Who Stops Time, James., and Ronaldinho: The One and Only, highlighting the lives and careers of the Argentinian, Colombian, and Brazilian legends.
The critically acclaimed sports documentary series Untold expanded its borders to highlight the world of English soccer through the stories of unlikely Premier League legend Jamie Vardy, Liverpool’s miraculous 2005 Champions League–winning team, and controversial professional player-turned-actor Vinnie Jones.

Additional soccer content on Netflix includes Under Pressure: The U.S. Women’s World Cup Team, which documents the squad’s effort to win the 2023 title; the Emmy-nominated Beckham; Captains of the World; a José Mourinho episode of The Playbook; and Vini Jr.
Netflix will exclusively broadcast the FIFA Women’s World Cup in the United States and Canada for the 2027 and 2031 tournaments.
